Upper Bulkley River: Riparian Planting and Richfield Creek Stabilization with "Willow Burrito"

These sites are located along the Upper Bulkley River and Richfield Creek approximately 20 km east of Houston. Restoration occurred through riparian planting* via live Willow staking and by stabilizing** the edge of the streambank via slope reshaping, pegboarding and a "Willow Burrito". This “burrito” was created using soil and Willow branches rolled up in erosion matting, and pegged into the toe of the slope.
